Overview and applications of the Dept of Energy's broad reaching Hydrogen program

"The stage is set for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies to take a lead role in the global energy market."

This presentation will provide a technology update and insights into the wide range of applications hydrogen can play a significant role in.

The topic of this talk - H2@ Scale  - will focus on the science behind the Department of Energy's National Hydrogen program -as well as also discuss the opportunities that it will create for Chemical Engineers and business creation in fields that will revolutionize the way energy is produced, and business is conducted. To use a popular "buzz word" this DOE program will have a major sustainable business "footprint !"

Topics covered will include:

  • DOE H2@Scale program
     
  • An update on the Northeast hydrogen infrastructure in place and in construction

  • Renewable hydrogen generation using wind and solar to provide grid support and energy resilience.

We expect to have a fuel cell vehicle available following the presentation.
